Its been a very long time since you have been gone. I think about you often and your influence on me as a man. You were the only male role model I’ve ever had in my life. The things that you taught me as a child still stick with me today.

The thing that you taught me that sticks out the most is you taught me how to work. When I got a real job it was a very easy transition because I worked all my life. All the yard work and building stuff we did all helped me as an adult.

I would have went a different route without you. Many of my friends didn’t have a male role model any time of their lives and it showed. You were not just a male role model you were good role model.

Now that I’m an adult I sometimes think about how you thought and acted when you were my age.

I love you and I miss you. I’ll see you again one day in heaven.
